The Cien Amigos-IME Scholarship Fund will award one-time scholarships of $1,000 dollars each to individuals for enrollment in Fall Semester 2018. In order to be eligible to apply for a College Scholarship you must:

1. Be a College/University undergraduate student or a High School senior with a College/University letter of acceptance.

2. Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher (weighted/cumulative).

3. Comply with the proof of address requirement, within the Northern California eligible counties*, based on one of the following:

· Applicant must be studying in Universities/Colleges within eligible counties.
· University/College must be located within eligible counties.
· Applicant’s parents must live within eligible counties.

4. Provide a copy of the following required documents:

a) For undergraduate students: Official College/University transcript or enrollment verification letter with cumulative GPA stated. For High School (HS) senior: HS transcript with weighted GPA stated.

b) For HS seniors: official documentation of acceptance to a higher education institution.

c) For undergraduate students and HS seniors: documentation that proves compliance with the proof of address requirement, in the case that a) or b) are out the eligible counties.

d) For undergraduate students and HS seniors: 500-word-maximum essay describing your personal situation, the reasons you are pursuing higher education, and the ways in which you plan to use your education for the benefit of your community. If you were awarded a Cien Amigos - IME Becas scholarship previously, please describe how you utilized the scholarship and how it has helped you achieve your educational goals.

* ELIGIBLE COUNTIES - Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquín, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Stanislaus, Solano, Sutter, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba.
