Job Title: CAD Drafter

Job Type: Contract - 6 Months

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $26.00

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled  CAD Drafter to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for creating detailed 2D mechanical drawings of components and sub-assemblies, supporting engineering designs, and ensuring compliance with product requirements and drafting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD software, PLM systems, and strong attention to detail.

Primary Duties

• Create detailed 2D mechanical drawings based on engineer-provided designs.
• Use CAD software (Solid Edge preferred) to generate 2D component and sub-assembly drawings.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to product requirements, drafting standards, and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to review, revise, and finalize drawings.
• Prepare and maintain documentation within  PLM systems (Team Center preferred), including drawing changes, revisions, and approvals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in  Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree in  Mechanical Engineering or  Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
• 3+ years of experience drafting  industrial products as a CAD drafter.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Solid Edge strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of drafting standards and best practices.
• Experience working with PLM systems (Team Center preferred), with an understanding of revision control.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
