At this exciting time in our company, ABC stone has an opportunity for an experienced CDL Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, is customer service driven and has a proven track record of transporting and delivering product in a safe a timely manner.

Role Description

This is a full-time role where you are home every night. The CDL Driver will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle, transporting product and materials, to various locations. This position requires a valid CDL B license and a proven track record of driving experience.

• Valid CDL license (Class A or B) with a clean driving record
• Previous experience as a CDL Driver or in a similar role
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and DOT regulations

Job Responsibilities

• Drive 28ft., 66,000 lb., tandem axle boom truck
• Deliver Natural Stone products (slabs and crates) in the Tri-State area
• 5-day, 40 hour work week (with overtime available)
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secure
• Follow all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Forklift experience and certification (preferred)
• Experience with a boom truck (preferred)
• Must possess a clean & valid CDL Class B license
• Follow strict safety standards on and off the road
• Ability to use navigation tools
• Ability to plan delivery routes
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
• Experience working in the Natural Stone industry (preferred)
• Ability to work on a rotating Saturday shift (preferred)
• Ability to work well with other employees in the warehouse and administrative offices
• Ability to remain courteous and professional at all times
• Must be able to pass a Drug Test and DOT

Education and Experience

• CDL Class B
• Valid Driver's license
• Clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.

Salary Range

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour. Salary will be determined based on a candidate's skills, education, and relevant work experience.
