Onward Search Education is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time School Nurse to join a private school team, providing high-quality health care to students. Position: Certified School Nurse
Location: Princeton, NJ
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $60,000
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in alignment with district Board of Education policies.
- Perform physical assessments to monitor student wellness.
- Provide care for ill or injured students and determine appropriate follow-up actions.
- Assist with physical exams related to sports participation, working papers, and child study team evaluations.
- Maintain comprehensive student health records, including medication and immunization histories.
- Track and document annual physicals for all staff members.
- Participate in the annual Blood Borne Pathogens in-service and ensure appropriate first aid supplies are stocked throughout the school and transportation vans.
- Conduct CPR and first aid training for staff as needed.
- Collaborate with the Speech and Language Department to complete annual audiometric screenings and bi-annual vision screenings.
- Deliver individualized health care services based on student needs.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Department of Education and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Required Credentials:
- Valid RN license (Registered Nurse)
- NJ School Nurse Certification required
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities
- Current CPR/AED certification
