Job Location Maryland Office - Hunt Valley, MD Salary $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly Responsibilities Perform field inspections of construction and maintenance projects for the installation or modification of traffic control devices (traffic signals, signs, lighting) Document daily work activities on an Inspector’s Daily Report Calculate and document quantities for work completed Maintain daily photos of work progress Assist with material testing Inspect Maintenance of Traffic/Work Zone Traffic Control installations Work both in office and field settings, traveling across Maryland as required Be available for night shift and weekend duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid Maryland driver’s license Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Access) Strong math and data entry skills Ability to work outdoors Excellent communication and teamwork abilities No prior experience required – willingness to learn and grow Preferred Skills Construction inspection experience Knowledge of traffic control device design, construction, and operations Licenses & Certifications MDOT required certifications in Erosion and Sediment Control, Temporary Traffic Control, OSHA 10, Traffic Barrier, Materials testing (Asphalt, Soils & Aggregates, Concrete, Pavement Markings) and IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level 1 will be obtained once employed.
