Corporate Counsel

Wilmington, Delaware

Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Corporate Counsel assists with all legal aspects of the business, safeguarding our reputation by ensuring the company adheres to legal and statutory guidelines, ensuring legal conformity to minimize the risk of exposure. The candidate gives sound legal advice to management regarding all relevant issues. Some of the things you will be doing:

• Draft, review and negotiate various types of contracts, agreements and other legal documents, primarily with CSC customers.
• Review and assess CSC obligations under changing international regulations.
• Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and present creative solutions to reach resolution, ensuring a balance between legal risk and business interests
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• Adeptly and proactively identify and escalate issues and provide risk-based recommendations and advice within strategic business conversations

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?

• Juris Doctor and ability to practice in house in Delaware under a Delaware Certificate of Limited Practice
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate environment
• Excellent drafting, negotiating, editing, problem solving, and communications skills. Experience negotiating, redlining and reviewing contracts.
• Embody the values of CSC: service, teamwork, tenacity, agility and genuine
• Self-motivated and independent, but able to discern when matters should be escalated and when further guidance is needed
• Ability to translate legal requirements into practical guidance and formulate creative solutions to accomplish the company’s objectives
