Job Description
Core Construction Responsibilities
Build and install decks, pergolas, patios, and in-ground pools
Perform services and repairs on existing deck structures
Assist in demolition of existing structures
Dig footers, cut and frame materials, and install safety rail systems
Working at Heights & Ladder Safety
Work on ladders, scaffolding, and joists one or more stories high
Walk and stand on joists and roof trusses
Go up and down ladders repetitively for extended periods
Carry hand and power tools while on ladders
Stand on ladders while holding materials in place for installation
Material Handling & Site Setup
Carry, load, and unload 50lb+ materials
Carry 20-ft beams across job sites with crew members
Transport tools and materials to and from work vehicles
Utilize heavy machinery (e.g., ditch witches, table saws, augers)
Work Schedule & Flexibility
Typically work 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
Must be available for longer/shorter hours based on project or weather
Flex time may be approved on a case-by-case basis
Complete assigned projects as scheduled
Job Site Conduct & Reliability
Arrive on job site on time
Follow all safety guidelines and identify site hazards
Follow instructions from Crew Leader
Maintain safe use and storage of tools and equipment
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Walk, stand, and climb ladders for long periods
Lift and maneuver heavy materials safely
Work Quality & Standards
Follow diagrams and directions to complete work accurately
Meet company standards for craftsmanship and productivity
Be coachable, receptive to training, and aligned with Solid Ground’s values
Collaborate with other departments for job site efficiency
Customer & Team Interaction
Limited face-to-face interaction with customers may occur
Work as part of a collaborative, respectful crew environment
