Role Description

Delivery Drivers will pull, palletize, and deliver orders to customers, utilizing company delivery vehicles.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Pulls, rings, and palletizes orders to be delivered.
• Loads purchased product on to delivery trucks and secures load to prevent damage.
• Operates company vehicles according to company policies and applicable state and federal guidelines.
• Offloads and carries orders to assigned delivery points.
• Checks key safety and maintenance on delivery vehicles daily.
• Follows safety and security procedures.
• Maintains maintenance log for delivery trucks and ensures proper maintenance is performed.
• Packages orders for safe and secure transport to delivery site.
• Operates forklift to pull pallets from steel for delivery.
• Receives payment from customers to be processed upon return to the store.
• Processes charge, debit, credit, check and cash transactions.
• Confers with customers to ensure proper customer service and solicit new sales.
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of delivery vehicles.

Experience/Education:

• A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Valid & Current Drivers license required.
• License & certifications to operate commercial vehicle as required by Federal, State, and/or Local Government

  *Auto raises will be provided based on straight-time hours worked until top of pay scale is reached.

Pay Range: Starting at $18.00/hr (DOE)

Schedule:

• Part-time
• Full-time
• Evening, Weekends and Holidays are required.

Office Location and Travel:

• LOCATION: In person
• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Working Environment
Work is performed in a climatized warehouse with concrete and/or tile floor setting with the ability to operate climate controlled delivery vehicles. Individuals may be exposed to extreme cold temperatures both outside and in cooler/freezers. Work requires equipment usage for palletizing orders such as but not limited to; pallet jacks, trash compactors, cardboard balers, computerized systems, and forklift operations. Individuals will frequently encounter walking, standing, bending, squatting and sitting, with occasional climbing. Individuals in this role will need the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds at waist/chest level and occasionally lift/carry up to 75 pounds below waist, at chest/waist level, and/or above shoulders.
