Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Engineer to join our client's dynamic engineering team supporting chemical and specialty materials production. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of process control and safety systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and support for process control systems, process instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues using technical knowledge and data analysis related to safety and process control systems.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across electrical and control systems.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to drive improvements in yield, efficiency, and reliability.
• Lead the installation and commissioning of instrumentation and automation systems, including capital projects, while ensuring adherence to functional, budgetary, and timeline requirements.
• Partner with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support instrumentation and automation requirements in broader projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
• Strong experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLC programming, and HMI programming.
• Hands-on experience with process instrumentation in a plant environment.
• Ability to read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and electrical schematics.
