Graphic Designer & Video Editor

Bennett Creative is a video-forward marketing agency based in Austin, Texas. We specialize in producing exceptional visual content and running high-performance campaigns for small to medium-sized businesses. Our team is passionate about helping our clients achieve their marketing goals and stand out in their industries. We were started in 2018 by Dorothy & Andrew Bennett. Our office is located in central Austin near some of the best restaurants and coffee shops in town.

DESCRIPTION

This is a unique hybrid role designed for a skilled Mid-Level Graphic Designer who is interested in learning and executing video content creation. While your primary responsibilities will be design-focused, your willingness to contribute to video editing and on-set production support will allow us to offer you a secure, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

GRAPHIC DESIGN (Primary Focus)

  • Design & Production: Create high-impact visual assets for a variety of client needs, with a strong focus on digital advertising and social media content .
  • Video Graphics: Develop graphics, titles, lower thirds, and other visual elements to be used within video content.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain and apply brand guidelines across all client assets and collateral.
  • Tool Proficiency: Execute design work efficiently using required professional software.

CLIENT & TEAM COLLABORATION

  • Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to present design concepts, gather feedback, and ensure final deliverables meet their strategic goals.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and communicating progress clearly to the internal team.

VIDEO PRODUCTION (GROWTH OPPURTUNITY)

  • Training & Execution: Learn and assist with various stages of video production, including editing, file organization, and basic motion graphics.
  • Set Support: Provide on-site assistance for client video shoots (e.g., setting up lights, managing gear, assisting the camera operator).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: At least 3 years of dedicated, full-time graphic design experience within an agency or in-house setting.
  • Software Proficiency (Mandatory): High-level proficiency in the following programs:

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe InDesign

Canva (for quick-turn social assets)

  • Client Management: Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally while managing client feedback.
  • Mindset: A strong desire to learn new skills, particularly in video editing and production.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

  • Previous experience or familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Knowledge of basic photography or videography principles.

SALARY + BENEFITS

  • $65k - $75k / year depending on experience and skillset
  • 15 days of paid-time-off (PTO) in the first year. More PTO per year after that. 12 paid bank holidays.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must currently be Austin-based.
  • Must have your own car and valid drivers license
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the United States

INTERVIEW PROCESS

If invited to a second interview, that will be conducted with our CEO and Social Media Director over Google Meet. Final candidates will be invited to the office for an in-person interview with a few of our team members.
