HVAC Instructor – Commercial Construction (Full-Time, Onsite, Contract to hire | Indianapolis, IN)

Pay: $75,000 – $110,000 per year

Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

About the Role

As a Commercial HVAC Instructor with our National Training Division, you’ll guide technicians and apprentices through technical training in commercial and industrial HVAC systems. You’ll combine real-world experience with structured instruction to build the skills of the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver classroom and hands-on training in HVAC installation, service, commissioning, and system design
  • Teach and demonstrate OSHA safety standards, code compliance, and best practices
  • Assist with NCCER curriculum delivery, testing, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with national training leaders to improve training consistency and quality
  • Maintain an engaging, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Mentor students and foster a culture of craftsmanship, professionalism, and teamwork

What You Bring

  • 5–7 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience
  • Journeyman or Master HVAC License strongly preferred
  • NCCER Instructor Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills
  • A passion for training, workforce development, and continuous learning
  • Commitment to safety and excellence in HVAC instruction
