Our firm is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team. This is a permanent, fully remote position, offering the unique opportunity to work from anywhere. You will be working on the plaintiff-side only, and there are no billable hours required, allowing for a balanced work-life. This role involves providing expert legal advice and representation to our clients, who are predominantly employees and labor unions. If you have a strong background in labor and employment law, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for social justice, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of labor and employment-related matters.
- Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to develop case strategies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and legal briefs.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
- Advocate for the rights of employees and labor unions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current labor and employment laws.
- Work collaboratively with our team to develop strategies for litigation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Labor & Employment Attorney.
- Must be licensed to practice law in California.
- Proven experience with Hour or equivalent.
- Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to our clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work in a fully remote environment.
- Passion for labor and employment law and a commitment to social justice.
