Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced L&D Registered Nurse to join a PRN pool in Woodland Hills. This is an ongoing contract with pre-scheduled shifts and reassessment every 4 weeks to ensure continued availability. Candidates must be skilled in L&D care, dependable, and team-oriented, with a strong focus on patient safety and family-centered support.

Contract Details

• Length: Ongoing (up to 6 months or longer)
• Schedule: Minimum 12 hours per week
• Shift: Days & Nights available (12-hour shifts)
• Commitment: Must work at least 1 shift per week (not suitable for those unable to commit)
• Scheduling:
  • Shifts are pre-booked in advance (similar to traveler scheduling)
  • Monthly availability must be submitted ahead of time
  • Facility may cancel shifts with at least 2 hours’ notice
• On Call: None
• Float: May be required within scope of practice

Requirements

• Licensure: Active California RN License (expired licenses must be renewed; applicants in process should contact the senator’s office for expedited handling)
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS. AWHONN Advanced FM, Fire Card Required
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience
  • At least 1 year of L&D experience
• Preferred: Travel nursing experience (not required)

• Facility Size: 286 beds
• Scrubs: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
• PPE: Fully provided; fit testing available on-site
• Parking: On-site parking available
• EMR: Epic (facility-specific version)
• Pay Cycle: Weekly (Sunday–Saturday)
