Mechanical Assembler Technician Our client in San Fernando, CA is looking for Mechanical Assembler Technician to disassembly and part cleaning of train braking components, HVAC units, door operators and couplers. Responsibilities · Move material to and from workstation by hand, cart, pallet jack, hoist and crane as required. · Disassemble (tear-down), clean, according to work instructions, engineering drawings and/or test codes. · Responsible for processing paperwork pertaining to the disassembly and cleaning. · Use of fixtures, press, vice, grinders, wire wheel, pneumatic/hand tools, etc. · Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. · Performs other related duties as assigned by management · Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, practices, procedures, and established company policies. Able to communicate effectively with coworkers. · Ability to follow instructions, possess basic comprehension and reading skills. · Ability to lift up and move up to 50 lbs. · Requires repeated movements and tasks daily. · Must be comfortable to frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and crouch. · Must be able to use vibrating/impact pneumatic hand tools. · Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when required.
