Inova Neurosurgery is looking for a dedicated Acute Care Nurse Practitioners or Acute Care Physician Assistants (NP/PA) to join the team. Positions are available across multiple locations and shifts including PRN, Part Time, and Full-Time opportunities. This position is eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
You can be considered for any position in the following counties/service areas in Northern Virginia:
- Fairfax County
- Loudoun County
- Alexandria City

Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider Job Responsibilities - APP will be responsible for all aspects of the service to include daily rounds and progress notes.
- Emergency Room and inpatient consults, admissions, and discharges
- Ordering and interpreting labs and radiologic studies
- Fielding phone calls from inpatient nurses.
- Multidisciplinary care coordination and patient education.
- You may also perform procedures - within the scope of practice of Inova Health credentialing and privileging - to include EVD and ICP monitor placement.
- Some opportunity exists for first-assisting in the OR, as service needs permit or require.
- The APP will work directly with the neurosurgeons.
Additional Requirements - Work schedule: Full-time/Part-Time/PRN - 12 hour shifts
- Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program. Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners. For physician Assistants, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Certification: Board certified (ACNP or NCCPA certification), BLS, Virginia License, DEA.
Preferred Qualifications - Minimum of one year of experience in inpatient neurosurgery, spine, or orthopedics.
