The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center provides you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. This program will assist you with the transition out of the classroom setting through a formalized series of learning experiences, including advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, measurement and evaluation of skills through hands-on simulations, mentoring from experienced nurse leaders, and working collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project.
As an RN Resident, you will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. You will assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider(s), administer prescribed medications, teach patients, families, and caregivers about their medical condition, and respond promptly to patient requests. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required within the specified timeframe. An associate or bachelor's degree in nursing and a registered nurse license or graduate nurse license in the state are also required. No previous experience is needed, and some travel may be required for training.
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. We have an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU, and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We also have the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children and a 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offering inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
