Our client is seeking a Paralegal experienced in commercial real estate matters to assist their General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal support for all commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and leasing.
  • Draft, review, and manage key transactional documents such as SNDAs, estoppels, confidentiality agreements, organizational documents, resolutions, and consents.
  • Coordinate and perform due diligence reviews, including title, survey, zoning, and environmental reports.
  • Review and summarize loan documents, leases, and purchase and sale agreements to assist counsel and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain closing checklists, coordinate closing logistics, and assemble post-closing binders and documentation.
  • Manage entity formation and governance matters, including maintaining minute books, resolutions, and corporate filings.
  • Liaise with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, and internal business teams to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and legal requirements, including state and local filing obligations.
  • Assist with notarizations, filings, and other administrative legal duties as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in commercial real estate, either within a law firm or in-house legal department of a large organization, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently.
  • Active New Jersey Notary Public license, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one shortly after hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, research methods, and processes related to real estate transactions and general legal principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
