Job Description
Position Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned accountant to join our Sarasota office. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in small to mid sized business accounting, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic, growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reconciliations • Process payroll and ensure accurate tax filings (941s, state filings, etc.) • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
• Coordinate with management and external CPA firms as needed
• Implement and maintain accounting best practices for efficiency and compliance
Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience (preferably in small business or manufacturing/distribution environments)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of payroll, tax, and compliance processes
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Compensation & Schedule
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience. Flexible scheduling within standard business hours (on site, 20–30 hours/week).
