Job Description
ACCOUNTABLE TO: The Pastoral Assistant works at the pleasure of the Session. The direct supervision for this position will come from the Senior Pastor.
QUALIFICATIONS: As a pastoral “backbone” of the Pink Church, this relationally aware, detail focused, collaborative and administrative role requires refined logistics management skills. Administrative competence includes above average computer skills, excellent organization and time managing skills, and facility in both written and verbal communication with numerous individuals, committees, staff, and both schools.
PURPOSE: Support the ministries of the Pastor, Session, schools, staff, and committees.
PRIMARY ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain the membership database.
· Coordinate guest correspondence, and new member communication and logistics.
· Facilitate Presbytery records, reports, and reviews compliance.
· Prepare monthly Session packets and regularly communicate with church officers.
· Help coordinate committee communications and shared-space ministry needs.
· Manage all aspects of the Columbarium.
· Help facilitate special mailings.
PRIMARY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Serve as liaison with Recovery groups.
· Coordinate volunteers for reception desk, special mailings, and special projects.
· Coordinate facility access and usage with outside vendors.
· Work inter-departmentally to ensure facilities are utilized for maximum efficiency.
PRIMARY CONGREGATIONAL CARE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the Pastor with discerning and prioritizing pastoral care needs.
· Regularly update/edit the congregational prayer list.
· Process each week all signed Stay Connected cards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
