Job Description: The Resident Relations Associate will aid the Property Manager in effectively assisting the assigned community;

The Resident Relations Associate will also be responsible for the overall resident experience on the property.

Reports to: Property Manager

Wage Status: Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive all telephone calls and in person visits; listen to resident requests, concerns and comments and complaints. Enter work tickets in Yardi and Report them to Manager, and VP of Property Management.
  • Assist the Leasing/ Property Management Staff implement resident retention programs.
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls with a friendly tone.
  • Conduct all residents interactions according to the policies & procedures set by Post Brothers, i.e. parking, maintenance, move ins, move outs, resident functions, resident retention activities and renewals, resident experience regarding construction, major repairs (if resident needs relocation assistance).
  • Know your product, unit availability, amenities of the community.
  • Ensure apartment is ready for resident to move in on agreed date.
  • Assist front desk clerks with special deliveries, VIP guests, Corporate clients.
  • Issue appropriate notice when necessary (late payments, eviction notices, returned checks memos), make sure resident files are in order.
  • Physically inspect community when on grounds, report even the smallest issue or inconveniences.
  • Report any service needs to maintenance department, follow up with call to resident within 24 hours.
  • Inspect and report individual apartment damages when residents vacate, collect keys from residents when they vacate.
  • Answer questions for Residents about the community, repairs, rent, and rules. Follow up on a timely basis.
  • Maintain an open communication with the Property Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Inspect move outs and vacancies when needed.
  • Provide accounting support to the Property Manager.
  • Assist in planning resident functions.
  • Enforce policies of the Community with sensitivity to the residents.
  • Assist in placing, removing, updating signs, flyers, notices.
  • Distribute newsletters, flyers.
  • Assist in conducting market surveys and shop competitive communities
  • Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected immediately.
  • Must maintain all confidential information regarding residents

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills
  • Attendance is an imperative job function.
  • Yardi experience preferred, not required.
  • 5+ years in customer service required.
  • 3+ years in property management preferred.
