Job Description

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in the Medical/Surgical department, providing compassionate and professional nursing care tailored to patient needs. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify their care requirements
• Organize and deliver appropriate nursing care based on assessments
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations promptly
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging
• Adapt care to meet age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs
• Support patients' cultural and spiritual practices within medical guidelines
• Assume charge nurse duties as assigned

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience

No prior experience required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Effective organizational and leadership abilities
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient care and communication
