Robotics Technician | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate industrial robotic systems and peripheral equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on robotic cells and automated machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robotic systems.
• Execute corrective repairs, component replacements, and system adjustments to restore functionality.
• Program, teach, and optimize robot paths and operational parameters for manufacturing processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve robot performance and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components of automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of industrial safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout procedures specific to automated environments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Proficiency in general programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) for scripting or data analysis.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and HMI development.
• Experience with CAD software for reviewing layouts or minor fixture design.
