# Service Associate - Make ReadyGreenwood Forest - Houston, TX 77066## Description**JOB SUMMARY**Responsibilities include preparation of vacant apartment homes for move-ins and ensuring that established standards are met and apartments are timely turned. When needed, will assist with pool maintenance and grounds keeping.**REPORTS TO**: Community Manager and Lead Maintenance Technician**SUPERVISES:** None**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**1. Prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in.2. Review the make-ready board and take direction from the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to determine action to be taken on apartment homes.3. Make all repairs/replacements necessary for unit to be occupied as outlined on the make-ready checklist.4. Apply touch-up and full-paints as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes.5. Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during and after make-ready activity.6. Inspect completed apartment homes and schedules any necessary follow-up work before designating the unit as Ready.## Qualifications**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING****DEGREES AND DIPLOMAS*** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.**TRAINING/CERTIFICATES/ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIPS*** Certifications as required by State and Local Jurisdictions.**KNOWLEDGE, SPECIFIC AND ABILITIES.*** Must be skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.* May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs and all facets of apartment make ready.* Demonstrated ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical or other malfunctions and make repairs or correct problems.* Must be able to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions and plans.* Will interact with vendors, contractors, Clients and all levels of employees. Therefore, must possess excellent interpersonal skills.* Must be able to read and write in English in order to read diagrams, meters, instructions, etc.* Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA Requirements, EEOC.* Must supply own tools.
