Location: University of Pittsburgh

  • We are hiring immediately for full time SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FOOD SAFETY QUALITY ASSURANCE) (FULL TIME) positions.

  • Address : 4200 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15260 Note: online applications accepted only .

  • Schedule : Full time schedule. Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

  • Requirement : Food Safety QA experience required.

  • Fixed Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour.

  • Additional Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations as per the established matrix.

  • Maintain detailed records of quality and safety inspections and findings. Ensure that all documentation complies with regulatory standards and is accessible for audits and compliance checks.

  • Review quality control records, take necessary actions and retrain production staff as needed.

  • Investigate all complaints regarding quality and safety issues.

  • Assist in completing corrective and preventative action investigations and any other food safety and quality related action item.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.

  • Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.

  • Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.

  • Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.

  • May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
