This is a hybrid, high-impact role where you’ll apply structural rigor at the heart of our product logic—ensuring every home model we offer is buildable, code-compliant, and cost-efficient. This is an equity-based position at an early-stage company, with plans to transition to a paid role following funding or revenue milestones. What You’ll Do

• Perform structural analysis and provide PE-stamped calculations for modular and site-built homes
• Define structural strategies for standardized home models, accounting for real-world load, seismic, and soil conditions
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and software developers to connect physical structure with digital workflows
• Produce detailed structural drawings using CAD/BIM tools (Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD)
• Develop regional design packages that streamline permitting and compliance
• Review and sign off on structural documents, beginning with projects in California

You Might Be

• A licensed PE with deep experience in residential or light commercial structural systems
• Passionate about modular or prefab housing, and driven to reduce complexity in construction
• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Familiar with California seismic and permitting requirements
• Excited to contribute to platform-wide logic and scalable structural standards

Qualifications

• PE license required (California preferred)
• Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g., RISA, ETABS, SAP2000)
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. building codes, seismic standards, and residential permitting
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and independent execution skills
• This is an equity-based position (pre-salary stage), with future transition to paid compensation
• Hybrid/remote is welcome, though Bay Area proximity is strongly preferred
