Responsibilities
- Complete experimental flight tests in a hybrid electric aircraft, including first flights, envelope expansion, and more.
- Coordinate with flight operations to schedule both ground tests and flight tests.
- Create and review test cards.
- Assess aircraft and flight readiness.
- Prepare post-flight reports for operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Engage in safety assessments
- Liaise with FAA representatives, such as DARs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Experimental Test Pilot.
- Commercial pilot license with multi-engine rating and high performance and complex endorsements.
- FAA Class II Medical (active).
- 1,000+ PIC total flight hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Test Pilot School.
- Experience flight testing small reciprocating experimental aircraft preferred.
- Experience flight testing electric propulsion aircrafts.
- 8+ years of experience as an Experimental Test Pilot.
- 5,000+ PIC total flight hours.
