Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Monday through Friday day shift role requiring an active CA license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a rehabilitation therapy setting
• Typical patient load is 8-9 patients per day with 1 hour for evaluations and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments
• No double booking of patients
• Works under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with no weekends
• Responsible for directing and administering physical therapy services and coordinating department operations
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Involves family in patient teaching and plan of care where appropriate
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe environment
• Participation in ongoing performance improvement and professional society activities is expected
• Must demonstrate professional behavior and effective teamwork
• Dress code requires neat and professional appearance

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active California Physical Therapist license required if applicable
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Applications
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
