This position is responsible for the efficient administration of assigned contracts across all departmental services. The role requires active engagement with service providers and vendors to enhance system performance and maintain full adherence to contract terms.

Salary Range: $35–$38 per hour, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities for the Contracts Administrator:

  • Manage and monitor assigned contracts to ensure alignment with departmental objectives, procurement policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Apply and uphold the principles of Active Contract Management (ACM) to ensure compliance, efficiency, and performance-based outcomes.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including renewals, amendments, and detailed scopes of work.
  • Support the creation of procurement documents such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and Single Source Justifications.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to address performance concerns and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to program staff and vendors on contractual obligations and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support procurement and contract management functions.
  • Oversee monthly invoice review and resolution for multiple vendors.

Qualifications for the Contracts Administrator:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in contract administration, procurement, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related discipline preferred
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes and contract law strongly preferred
