They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team and help drive their financial success.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices within the SaaS industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Manage revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with ASC 606
• Review and analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial analysis
• Coordinate and support external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
• Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns
• Manage sales and use tax compliance and filings
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
• Support other accounting and finance projects as needed

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the SaaS industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606 and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software, ideally NetSuite
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
